The fine print, in plain words

Shipping & Delivery

A solid-wood piece is a real, heavy thing — not a parcel we drop in a mailbox. Here’s how it gets from Dad’s bench to your home, and what you’ll see when you check out.

What you pay to ship

Shipping is added as a clear line item at checkout — a flat, per-piece freight rate based on the size of what you ordered. No surprise fees, no padding. You’ll see the number before you pay, not after.

When it ships

Most of what we make is built to order, so the biggest part of the wait is the build itself:

  • Made-to-order pieces ship after the build window, usually about 5–12 weeks depending on the piece and the wood. We’ll give you a real estimate when you order, and Molly will keep you posted.
  • In-stock pieces ready in the shop typically ship within a week.

How it arrives

Every piece is wrapped and crated for the road, then handed to a freight carrier who handles furniture, not flat-packs.

  • Curbside / threshold delivery is our standard — the piece is brought to your door or just inside it.
  • White-glove delivery (in-home placement and packaging removal) is coming soon. Ask us if you need it now and we’ll see what we can arrange.

Before it ships, measure your path

Our bigger pieces are Billt to make the trip, and many come apart for the tight turns. Still, it’s worth measuring your doorways, hallways, and stairwells before delivery day. Not sure? Send Molly a photo and a couple of measurements and we’ll figure it out together.
